Our co-branding approach

Partner-led (and Prince's Trust endorsed)

The partner may choose to carry our logo or a logo lockup device on their materials as recognition that the Trust endorses their product, service, organisation, or initiative.

Don’t forget to talk to legal about licensing agreements and logo usage permission.

Logo lockup devices

Talk to the Marketing team first and if use of a logo lockup device is approved then talk to legal about licensing agreements and logo usage permission. It is important that you approach it in this order to avoid causing dilution of The Prince’s Trust Masterbrand and issues further down the line.

Using our primary ‘Feathers’ logo next to partner logo

When placing partner brands next to our logo, please use the following grid system. The space between the logos should be 1/5th of The Prince’s Trust logo width. The designated area for partner logos sits to the right of our logo area and is x5 squares high, by x10 squares wide.

The width of the stroke separating the two logos is half the width of the 'i' in The Prince's Trust logo. The easiest way to do this is to make a stroke the total width of the 'i' and then halve it, rather than trying to visually guess a halfway point.

Logo lockup (also known as a logo device)

The Trust has several logo lockups that relates to a specific activity run by The Trust. Some logo lockups can be used by partners. A logo lockup is a combination logo with all its elements locked in their relative positions. To maintain consistency, the lock-up should not be taken apart or altered in any way.

To ensure good legibility please leave adequate clear space around it. This space should never be encroached upon. Graphic elements must not enter the clear space. The only exception is if the logo is laid over a photograph.

Primary Logo Colour

When our logo appears on a white background it should be in Master Red or Black.

(Fig. 01 & 02)

When using our logo on a coloured or photographic background, it should appear in White. (Fig. 03, 04 & 05)

To ensure that our logo and lockups remain legible and recognisable please don’t:

• Stretch the device

• Apply a drop shadow

• Change the typeface in the device

• Alter the colour

• Apply effects

If the partner does not provide us with ready to use promotional materials, we should always default to creating materials for the initiative/product in our Masterbrand. Please do not mix brands or brand elements it causes confusion for our audiences.

What about the messaging for partner led?

Naming: Lead with The Prince's Trust

Headline: Aim for a benefit-led headline

Messaging: Lead with audience benefit of the initiative. It should also reference our vision and mission.
